Colleen Kiley is a Registered Nurse, Reiki Master and Licensed Massage Therapist.  She has completed advanced study with the Foundation of Shamanic Studies.  Colleen has completed ECaP's Professional Training Program with emphasis on working with people with serious health issues.  Colleen actively conducts a healing and teaching practice in Vestal, New York, under the name Healing Harmonics.  She has been engaged in community teaching in a variety of alternative/ complementary life enhancing healing methods for more than 20 years.

In the 1800s, Mikao Usui, a Japanese educator, evolved through travel, study, research and meditation, a healing system based on ancient Buddhist teachings.  He spent the rest of his life practicing and teaching this method of natural healing, which involved attunement to the energy and the laying on of hands.  The Usui System of Reiki continues to be taught by Reiki Masters who are training in the original traditions of Reiki and whose personal and professional lives are committed to this healing art.

A Reiki treatment is a light, hands-on process whereby a Reiki practitioner becomes a channel for universal life force to the recipient.  A Reiki treatment is safe, non-intrusive, and non-manipulative.  The recipient of a Reiki treatment remains fully clothed.  During a full Reiki treatment, the practitioner directs healing energy to several areas of the head, the upper body (from neck to pelvic area), and the back (from shoulders to tail bone).  In addition to the formal body positions, Reiki can be applied to any part of the body that has been injured.  The sensation felt by the recipient of a Reiki treatment is usually a deep feeling of warmth, well-being and comfort.  Reiki even can be transmitted at a distance.  Reiki can be used for self-healing or healing others and used with conventional medical treatment.

This energy attunement attunement occurs in four ceremonial acts shared by the Reiki Master with each student and is followed by personal growth and expanded awareness.  A Reiki class is taught by a Reiki Master and includes instruction in the history of Reiki, basic hand positions, how to treat oneself for an increased level of personal wellness, as well as how to utilize Reiki in one's own life in service to others.  

Training includes:  Reiki hand positions; Chakra meditation; Complete treatment for self and others; Complete individual attunements.  In addition to traditional Reiki training students will be offered Journey meditation to work with Reiki spirit guides utilizing Shamanic methods, and power animal retrieval.  Cost $150

The Second Degree classes include a deeper initiation by the Reiki Master and instruction in the conscious use of ancient symbols to increase the power of treatments, to reach the subconscious mind and to send the energy to someone not present.

Training includes: Reiki II symbols and techniques to work with unconscious issues and distant healing (includes work with crystal), and chanting.  First and Second Degree Students will give and receive treatments and will receive handouts and certificates suitable for framing.  Cost $150

Becoming a Reiki Master implies that you will be able to initiate others into Reiki.  It is important to find a Reiki Master to study with whom you feel attuned.  Third Degree training involves a deep commitment to the service of healing and teaching.

Reiki III A - Session includes: Master attunements and symbol; Additional use with a crystal grid;  Students receive a Third Degree Reiki Practitioner Certificate.  One Session. Cost $200

Reiki III B - Session includes: Training and practice in how to give attunements, teach, and initiate others, and to teach Reiki workshops and classes.  Written materials provided.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Reiki I, Reiki II and Reiki III-A training; demonstration of knowledge of Reiki symbols; experience in giving Reiki treatments; a deep commitment to the service of healing and teaching.  Three Sessions.
